Flight Physicals
Iatros Family Health is pleased to announce that we now offer FAA flight physicals. Dr. Tichenor has recently been designated as an Aviation Medical Examiner by the FAA and can perform Second Class and Third Class FAA flight physicals. We hope to be able to offer First Class physicals in the near future, but cannot at this time.
If you are a current or aspiring pilot needing a Second or Third Class flight physical, feel free to contact us for scheduling. Our pricing is listed on the right.
Prior to your exam, you will need to complete your MedXPress form, officially called the Application for Airman Medical Certificate or Airman Medical & Student Pilot Certificate (FAA Form 8500-8). This form can be found at the FAA MedXPress site here: MedXPress
From the FAA Website: “The FAA MedXPress system allows anyone requiring an FAA Medical Certificate or Student Pilot Medical Certificate to electronically complete the FAA Form 8500-8. Information entered into MedXPress will be transmitted to the FAA and will be available for your AME to review at the time of your medical examination.”
You do not have to complete your MedXPress form prior to calling us to ask about scheduling, but you MUST complete it prior to your appointment. Upon completion of your form, you should receive an email with a confirmation number. That confirmation number is the key to your flight physical and you will need to have it the day of your physical.
As your AME, Dr. Tichenor will use your confirmation number to start your physical. All expected payment must be received prior to starting your physical.
